I think the alfa romeo’s have the best looking front ends around and are gorgeous all around cars. Also if anybody has owned an Alfa Romeo before could you share your experiences with it. grazia

No … but old or new, the car is a money pit, but a fun car to drive.

Make sure you have a second car for transportation, and have bus or cab money on you when you leave the house in the morning. (and your cell phone too)

Yes, fortunately, because Fiat CEO confirmed that Alfa Romeo would be back in the US in 2006, and in fact they did, because in 2008, sales of Alfa Romeos in the US resumed with the entry on the 8C Competizione, through Maserati dealers. Also, Alfas would continue to return with the Alfa Romeo 169, the MiTo and other cars besides.

Incidentally, Alfa did go to the US, but left it during 1994 with the Alfa Romeo 164 (in Hong Kong as the Alfa Romeo 168).

Alfas will be available in the US in 2011, as well as parts from Alfas in Chrysler vehicles. I think that a lot of the negative “press” that they have is based on some poor performance in the past, but as a previous owner I will tell you that there is NOTHING like driving an Alfa. They are beautifully crafted and a joy to drive. No cabfare or cell phone required.
