Alfredo O asked:

I noticed last night that my car had this terrible burning smell. At first it smelled like rotten eggs, but now it smells like rubber or paper burning. I just feel that smoke in that area is not normal. Am i'm wrong for thinking/feeling that? Am being overparanoid? Is it secure to drive?Has this happened to anyone?
Please help me out, I'm looking for anything and welcome all questions, comments and/or concerns. Is an Alfa Romeo Spider 1977

I am not a mechanic or electrician in any way, but it sounds to me as if you have an electrical short. I wouldn’t drive it until you can get it checked by a mechanic. It could start a fire while you are driving.

sounds like wiring loom insulation burning, the loom runs around the engine to various sensors and stats from the e.c.u. Get it checked asap as i had one go on fire in an old alfa 1.7ti and cost a ridicolous price to replace. A good auto elecky will identify problem quick enough.Smell will be coming through air vents etc
