I agree. The big corps need to learn that they need to budget just like the little guys. Declare bankruptcy but don’t expect the government and therefore us to keep bailing out business’s that should know how to keep their spending under control.
That’s an apples vs. oranges comparison. First of all I don’t know if the Big 3 should go under. But when Packard and American Motors went under there were still lots of jobs available in the motor industry and foreign competition was practically non-existent.
BTW a former CEO of American Motors was George Romney (Mitt’s dad). He resigned from that position to become governor of Michigan. He was a good CEO and popular governor.
This country makes me sick, wanting to turn their back on american jobs. How stupid! You wait one day you will look back and say ya there once were some good industries to work for with good pay. Too bad there not still around. Now we don’t have Unions so we don’t have a voice to have our pay raised even though the company can afford it we don’t have a say. Dig a grave for them, but I guarantee todays economy won’t hold up to that kind of loss. The economy will drop so low, our minimum wage will be dropped and we will work for pennies again like back in the day. Americans are too stupid to see that other countries are taking advantage of free trade and sucking the money from this country. Oh but we keep buying there cheap crap to save a buck, when we can do some research and buy some american products for a bit more with better quality. If your family owned a business would you go for the neighbors cheaper product or buy from your families business and keep the money in the family, look at the big picture people. Keep buying your Honda Civics, and Toyota Camri’s so you can think you are different and cool, I hope they do away with NAFTA very soon.
