    Not sure it would hurt, but my cousin always swore by using “Mystery Oil” in his MGB carbs. Mystery oil is the same color as tranny fluid and maybe the same weight?

    possibly, but might be a bit off viscosity.

    Yes, but the dampers will lift more quickly leaning the mixture temporarily. Usually you want to richen the mixture during acceleration. I use regular motor oil in my TR6 carbs.
