If i had 80k to splurge on a car i would buy a 2004 or 05 bentley arnage. Everyone on the road would turn their heads to stare at my car. There are many used arnages for sale and they are much flashier, and more powerful than benzes or bimmers. Why drive a benz when you can drive a bentley?

That is true especially with BMWs. It feels like 90% of the people buy it because of its reputation as a cool car but there are definitely better more affordable luxury cars, Infiniti M35x is in the price range of a BMW 3 series yet it has better interior, more powerful engine, and way better technology then BMW 5 series yet people hardly even know there is a car called Infiniti M35….all you see and here about is BMW and Mercedez

BMWs are for drivers. Bentleys are for chauffeurs. Mercedes are for the elderly. Thats the old fashion split of the 3.

It’s not just the price, it’s value. Not many people with $80000 to spend on a car would go for an older arnage with no warranty and heavy maintenance and repair costs. For just $10-20000 more you can get a brand new S class or 750Li with a great warranty, it’s still an awesome car, highly regarded, and lots of fun to drive.
Bentley is a great car, no doubt, but not many people are in the $250k range for a car. BMW and Mercedes are much less money, appeal to a lot more people, and still provide a fine automobile.
Infinity (as the other guy suggests) should not even be in this conversation. Jap cars do not compare.
