The original latches on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler allowed the hood to vibrate like crazy. Especially when an 18 wheeler drove by. These
latches hold the hood in place. Great purchase.

The stock hood latches for the newer (2007+) Jeep Wranglers are very weak, allowing the hood to rise and slam down under certain conditions. These latches certainly solved that problem! The only caveat I have is now the latches are extremely hard to latch. Hopefully they’ll stretch out a bit and loosen up in the future.
At any rate, no more hood slamming when passing trucks on two lane roads.
