Had one of these in an ’05 Dakota and ad satisfactory results again when I got one to replace te disposable paper filter in the Patriot. I averaged an extra (rater recovered) 1-2 MPG city even after oly 3k miles on the original stock filter. almost at 20K miles and response and fuel economy still have a reasonable improvement over the stock paper filter.
I may in the future upgrade to a CAI kit they released last year for the Jeep Patriot. I hear it gives a nice little boost in overall performance and a more appealing sound, but K&Ns CAI kit costs about 4-5 times as much as this alternative to the disposable OEM rectangular filter.
