Every time it rains clean water runs down the interior of the RF firewall on my wife’s ’99 Lincoln Town Car and finds it’s way to the RR floor mat, where it stands up to 2″ deep. I’ve been to dealers, garages, body shops, and auto glass shops, and nobody can stop it. Any ideas?

    Seal it w/ clear caulk…..

drill a small hole under the carpet of the RR floor mat. Water will drain out the hole and nobody will know.

The clear silicone auto sealer will guarantee it’s not the front windshield that’s leaking. But it won’t look good if you put too much on the seams. Have you only had the leak since the windshield was replaced? I don’t understand why the front passenger floor mat is not the area getting wet rather than the rear floor mat. Pull the rug back and watch the water drip when it rains hard.

Have your wife or a buddy run water on the firewall while you look for the leak inside the car. Use a flashlight and once you find the leak plug it.
