In 1964, Chrysler gave the planet a glimpse of the long term. They developed a fleet of turbine vehicles–vehicles with jet engines–and loaned them out to members of the public. The fleet logged over a million miles the workout was a raging accomplishment.            These turbine engines would operate on any flammable liquid–tequila, heating oil, Chanel #5, diesel, alcohol, kerosene. If the autos had been mass developed, we may have cars right now that do not demand petroleum-derived fuels. The engine

Question by Liza: How long will Pontiac be making parts for their cars?
I’m interested in purchasing a Pontiac Vibe but I’m concerned about maintenance down the road as far as parts availability. Can anyone link me or tell me more about how GM is handling Pontiac and it’s products? So far all I’ve read are conflicting hearsay statements.
Also, I’ve been reading that the Vibe is basically the same as a Toyota Matrix, does that mean the parts are interchangeable?

I saw a car on the road one day and wasn’t sure what it was. The closest I have found to what it looked like was the Alfa Romeo Carabo concept car. http://www.lotusespritturbo.com/Other%20Supercars%20Alfa%20Romeo%20Carabo.jpg

They could line up 2 4 cyl.motors to make a straight eight like the great classic Alfa sportscars. To save gas you could run on just 1 engine when not going fast.
