This item has a openting at the top of the kit instead of the bottom not sure why. Maybe because of the dash design. I guess it is built ok but not my style.

Perfect fit in the dash on my 2008 Toyota Corolla S. Looks good but I find the space above the radio is kinda useless however.

Sides are perfectly flush with Corolla’s dash. Looks great. Better than any generic mounting kit I’ve ever bought.

Works as designed. Has nice fit and finish with the Corolla. Problem is that the radio sleeve tabs are typically a half a centimeter short from the ridge in the pocket installation kit, and hence the radio jiggles a lot when the car goes over a bump.

I recently installed a JVC KDG-140 into my ’08 Corolla, because let’s face it, the stock Toyota stereo is a real piece of crap. This dash kit fit PERFECTLY into the air conditioning plate, and it holds tight to the car’s chassis via two bars that bolt into the car itself. It’s sturdy as hell, and after some wire-cutter surgery I was able to get an AUX cable up through the holes at the back of the pocket (I have a Harman/Kardon Drive+Play).
All in all, five stars for a great fit that looks like it should have been in my dash for a long time.
